The exhibition “Ars Lumen – The Art of Light” transports the viewer into a magical yet very real world of “images painted with light.” The artist presents a selection of works from projects that have brought him international recognition and fame. Abandoned Beauty is an extraordinary combination of seemingly contradictory elements: beauty and decay. Here, nostalgia is combined with admiration for the intricate play of light, shadow, and color. Connected with Nature, in turn, is a reflection on the relationship between the human species and nature in the broadest sense of the word. Both monochromatic and colorful frames taken in many corners of the world stop the viewer in their tracks and encourage self-reflection. This part of the exhibition is complemented by the monochromatic Świat (World). The frames from the series of the same title evoke the strongest emotions. It is impossible to pass by them indifferently, such as the work entitled Desolate, depicting a little girl standing motionless, almost paralyzed, in a crowd of dancing children. The exhibition will also feature several of the artist’s latest photographs, not yet known to a wider audience, which will certainly be a treat for regular visitors to Radek’s exhibitions.

Each of the works presented at the exhibition is unique and tells its own story. They inspire with their thoughtful play of light and shadow, composition, and atmosphere, and above all, they allow for a dialogue with the artist and an exploration of his soul.
“Photography connects the real world with the universe of emotions. It reconciles the mind with the soul. It allows me to follow the path of continuous development. Per aspera ad astra.” – Radek von Hirschberg
